The following data/documents are required for filing a utility model application in Russia:

1. Name(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the applicants(s);
2. Specification of the application (including description, the claims and an abstract);
3. Drawings (if needed and if they are referred to in the specification);
4. Power of attorney simply signed on behalf of the applicant(s) with indication of the full name and position of the signatory; neither legalization nor notarization is required. The Power of Attorney is not required at the moment of filing an application, however, it may be requested by the Examiner at any stage of examination.

In case of a Convention application also:

5. Certified copy of the first application (such a copy is to be submitted within 3 months after the filing date of the corresponding Russian application).

Notes:

1. When claiming Convention priority in Russia, the Russian convention application should be filed at the Russian Patent Office within 12 months after the filing date of the first application in a State party to the Paris Convention.
2. Russian translation of the application may be submitted to the Patent Office within 2 months from the corresponding Examiner's request, i.e. approximately in two months after the filing date.

In case of entering the national phase of a PCT application:

1. All documents of PCT application as published including specification, claims, abstract, and drawings; filing date(s) and serial number(s) of the Priority application(s); full name and address of the Applicant; full name(s) and address(es) of the inventor(s);
2. International Search Report;
3. International Preliminary Examination Report (if any);
4. Power of attorney simply signed on behalf of the Applicant with indication of the full name and position of the signatory; neither legalization nor notarization is required. The Power of Attorney is not required at the moment of filing an application, however, it may be requested by the Examiner at any stage of examination.

Notes:

1. PCT applications shall enter the Regional Phase in Russia within 31 months from the priority date.
2. Russian translation of the application may be submitted to the Patent Office within 2 months from the corresponding Examiner's request, i.e. approximately in two months after the filing date.
